At VizoScan AI, our "Golden Rule" is absolute: Your document data never leaves your device. We run a fully decentralized, offline-first application ecosystem designed to protect your professional and personal information.

1. 100% On-Device Data Processing

All core functions—including OCR (Optical Character Recognition), PDF generation, Word conversion, and Image Deskewing—are performed locally on your device hardware. VizoScan AI does not use cloud-based processing. Your documents are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on external servers.

2. Internal File Management Disclosure

To provide a professional workspace experience, VizoScan AI requires specific permissions to manage your documents:

File Management: We use the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission (and MediaStore APIs) exclusively to provide the app’s Internal File Explorer feature. This allows the app to index and display your existing PDF, Word, and Text files locally so you can open, convert, or delete them within our workspace.
Scoped Sandbox: All files created by the app are stored in an isolated, secure application sandbox to prevent unauthorized access by other third-party apps.

3. Hardware & Security Frameworks

Camera Scanning: The camera is used solely to capture document frames. We use the Google ML Kit (via Google Play Services) for edge detection. All image analysis occurs in your device’s volatile memory and is never shared.
System Photo Picker: When importing images, we utilize the native Android Photo Picker. VizoScan AI only accesses the specific media files you explicitly select.
Recycle Bin: Deleted assets are moved to a local .trash folder within the app's internal storage. This data is not backed up to any cloud service and remains under your total control.

4. Technical Transparency & Data Safety

As an offline-first utility, VizoScan AI does not use third-party tracking or behavioral analytics. We may receive anonymized technical crash reports through the Google Play Console to ensure the app stays "ANR-Proof" and fast. These reports contain hardware specs (e.g., "Pixel 8") and stack traces, but never include your document content, filenames, or personal inputs.
